Ghost Signs: J.F. Reynolds-Day 20

This last ghost sign (for now, of course) is hidden between tall buildings in Macomb, IL.

It's kind of awkwardly placed for taking complete pictures, unless you can get inside the upper stories of the historic Lamoine Hotel next door, now home to the McDonough Co. Voice, the local newspaper.

The sign reads,
"J.F. REYNOLDS
HOUSE FURNISHER
FURNITURE, STOVES
CARPETS, RUGS and DISHES
CASH OR EASY ____"
The last word is hard to read; I want to fill in "credit" because they used it back then too (not exactly like today of course) however, it still seems too modern.

I wasn't able to find any information on J.F. Reynolds, but I have seen an old postcard in which the Lamoine Hotel hasn't been built yet in front of this building, and the ghost sign is still there. So since the Lamoine Hotel was built between 1926-27 (ref), the sign has to be older than that. (I don't actually have the postcard otherwise I would have posted it- at the time I decided it wasn't worth what the seller wanted for it. sigh.)
